Character Description[]
Appearance[]
Close has short chestnut brown hair and a necklace with a star pendant. She is also described to be taller than average.
Personality[]
Close is a young girl who is swayed easily by love. She thinks about her own needs and desires first. In spite of this, she does care about others. She cares about protecting her friend and values their relationship, feeling guilty upon destroying it.
History[]
Aiba never really fit in at school due to other cliques poking fun at her, but the popular guy Shin was there to comfort her. Aiba fell for Shin, but knew that he was just being friendly with her and never viewed her as anything special. She was best friends with Sumi due to her mysterious nature. Aiba's crush on Shin was quite evident, with her talking about him a lot with Sumi. But one day she and Sumi go to class to find the board vandalised with borderline creepy and obsessed messages accompanied with pictures of Sumi coming from a guy with the alias Shitenshi. Aiba helps the freaked-out Sumi take down the messages and comforts her. Shitenshi strikes again by sending everyone messages about Sumi, and Aiba realises this has to stop. She teams up with her classmates to gather evidence and report Shitenshi to the school. However, Shitenshi catches on and messages her to meet him privately.
Aiba takes up on the offer only to learn that Shitenshi is Shin. She begins to realise how horrible of a person he really is, and is tempted to report him. However Shin changes his mind when she offers to do "anything she wants" in exchange for her alliance, and Aiba learns she would even ask him to be her boyfriend. The two exchange a kiss, and Aiba is disgusted but enjoys it nonetheless. For the following days, Aiba and Shin pretend to have a relationship while Aiba helps Shin send images and messages about Sumi to their classmates. Shin committed enough to satisfy Aiba, but his heart still clearly lay with Sumi. Aiba buried the guilt of betraying her friend by enjoying the idea of Shin being her boyfriend.
When Sumi begins to get bullied, the guilt crushed Aiba to the point where she was unable to go to school. She hated herself for letting this happen to Sumi just for her own desires. Aiba learned Sumi died, and that was it for her. She exposes Shin to the rest of her class, tells Naki about the ordeal and attempts suicide, only to fail and fall into a coma
